Hibernation in Mac

It’s amazing that sometimes after spending years with computers you face small issues that you just can;t find an immediate answer for and becomes like a big rock impossible to move. Not to mention it scratches your digital ego too!

It’s been a while I’m thinking how can I put that white Macbook in hibernation and I just forget Googling my question. Finally I remembered to do so! It was amazing for me to find out that it is not coming as an standard feature and some minor tweaks (not to say hacks) are needed. Surprisingly it became like a political dispute between “cool” Mac users and Windows “nerds”!

It’s a good (Well, one of few!) weapon in Win users hands to attack Mac that hibernation has been there for years. Yeah, a desperate try! I remember my friend’s laptop back in 90s with windows 3.1 with hibernation enabled not from Microsoft but from Compaq itself (good old days). It amazed us and was kinda’ alien back then.

Anyways, I was surfing around and found this useful widget enabling a neat way to hibernate your Mac.
