You can run whatever you want on your macbook, even to the point of completely removing OS X if you want. I can run Windows XP and any linux I want. The only downside is the limitation to 3 partitions on the internal drive, but that is fine for a triple boot of OS X, Win XP, & GNU/Linux. Their is no major difference between an intel mac and a standard x86 PC. I'd advise anyone who is looking to buy a laptop to get a mac, they are just awsome!
