MP3, MPG support in Ubuntu
One of the issues bothers Ubuntu felows is out of the box mp3, mpg, mp4 support in applications like amarok, or mplayer.
It’s all because of patent stuff that Ubuntu didn’t have the natural support for some media codecs. Now with Edgy (Ubuntu 6.1) you can just add it in a minute.
Just Run Add/Remove Applications and type video in search box. Select GStreamer ffmpeg Video plugin and GStreamer extra plugins. That’s it! Now you can challenge Windows again!
Just don’t forget to get the latest updates from synaptic first.
